By sponsoring one of the Light Racers prizes, you will become part of our effort to promote science and math with tomorrow's technology leaders.
We offer several levels of sponsorship:
- Full Prize Sponsorship: When fully sponsosring a prize, you are entitled to rename the prize by adding your company's name in front of it, as in "The ACME Inc. first-place Light Racer prize, schools category".
Prize Sponsorship costs twice the value of the prize, with the other funds going towards operational expenses. You will be able to hand out the prize to the team yourself.
- Shared Prize Sponsorship: You can choose one-half of any of the prizes, and we will match you with an additional fractional prize sponsor.
Your company will be announced using language such as "The second-place Light Racer prize, family category, is sponsored by ACME Inc. and MECA LLC".
Here too, for every dollar that goes towards prize funds, we request that you spend a dollar on our operational costs.

- Second Prize, Family Category: $500
- First Prize, Schools Category: $1000
- Second Prize, Schools Category: $500
- First Prize, Unlimited Category: $2500 (additional banner value)
- Second Prize, Unlimited Category: $1000 (additional banner value)
- Most Original Racer: $500
- Best Looking Racer: $500
- Highest Cool Factor: $500
- Baddest Racer: $500
- Most likely to go to the moon: $500
- Most creative payload: $500
- Lightest Racer: $500
